The PBN application is the 'marriage' of a Navigation Specification to a defined Navigation Infrastructure applied within an airspace. The aircraft must be certified to that navigation performance and the flight crew must be authorised for the operation. The State must provide the appropriate navigation infrastructure to enable the aircraft to estimate a position which will meet that navigation performance's requirements.
